Rose Waring, Founder
Rose grew up in a family printing and publishing business where she cultivated an entrepreneurial spirit. In 2002, she and her husband, Tom, moved to Raleigh and founded a media production company, Trailblazer Studios, where Rose is chair of the Executive Committee. Now that Rose’s children are older and their allergies have decreased to a manageable level, she has the time to start this exciting new venture! Rose has combined her experience with dealing with diet restrictions with her extensive business and marketing background focusing her time and energy on helping others in a business that has become her passion.

Anne Everitt, Executive Chef
Anne left the corporate world in 1997 to pursue her love and talents as a cook. She has worked as a private chef in Aspen, a baker at Weaver St. Market in Carrboro, and a pastry chef at Elaine’s on Franklin and Lantern in Chapel Hill. She has also shared her love of good food by teaching cooking classes at Weaver Street Market, A Southern Season, and in people’s homes. Having managed the Carrboro Farmers’ Market for two years, Anne has always appreciated the delicious bounty our local farmers provide. Her philosophy is the freshest and best ingredients make the most delicious foods. Anne is driven to help everyone enjoy good food, no matter what your restrictions are.

Elizabeth Way, Sous Chef
Elizabeth's interest in the food service business began at an early age. She started working in restaurants in high school and never looked back. At Meredith College, she studied foods and nutrition, and at Johnson and Wales University, she received her culinary degree. Her culinary footsteps have taken her from Frazier's in Raleigh to cooking on a yacht in the Bahamas. She also became an ice cream chef while working for Cosmic Ice Cream Company and fired up the heat as the Hot Foods Chef at Catering Works. Emily Ellis , Customer Service Manager
Emily, a native of Chapel Hill, has been cooking and creating meals for people of the Triangle for 8 years. She has worked as a pastry chef at The Carolina Inn, Weaver Street Market and Restaurant Starlu. After working as the Executive Chef at O’Neil’s Grill in Chapel Hill for three years, Emily desired a more personal contact with the people she cooked for. This led to becoming a personal chef with The Food Fairy and eventually took her back to school in California. Having completed a program in Holistic Healing and Nutritional Counseling, she has returned to North Carolina. With her knowledge of food and natural health, she brings to Rosie’s Plate a desire to help others heal themselves through their own food choices.

Rosie Waring, Junior Apprentice and Taste Tester Extraordinaire
Rosie is 12 years old and in 6th grade. In 2002, She was diagnosed with multiple food allergies. Thankfully, Rosie has outgrown many of her allergies, but she still struggles with gluten intolerance. Dealing with restricted diets at this age is very frustrating and oftentimes embarrassing. Rosie’s really excited about Rosie’s Plate because she’ll have a much wider variety of food choices. She’s an adventurous eater and loves food, so she is our #1 taste tester.

Armand Emrich
Having lived in Raleigh for 38 years, Armand (pronounced like Armand Hammer) considers himself a native. He retired from a long career in Sales and Marketing he found himself in need of something to do in his retirement. He began working for a local high end bakery doing early morning deliveries. Armand feels that efficiency and timely delivery are of utmost importance and he is looking forward to serving our Rosie’s Plate customers.
